1972 Canadian $1 Voyageur Specimen Silver Dollar Coin
This Canadian Silver Dollar Coin features a modern design by sculptor Emanuel Hahn. Pictured here are an Indian and a voyageur, a travelling agent for a fur company, paddling a canoe by an islet on which there are two wind-swept trees. In the canoe are bundles of goods; the bundle at the right has HB, representing the Hudson's Bay Company. The vertical lines in the background represent the northern lights. The obverse side shows Queen Elizabeth II.
This silver coin comes packaged in a handsome leatherette clamshell case with white cardstock sleeve. Some sleeves show a bit of wear and could have hand-written notes left by previous owner. This uncirculated coin is held in place with a black plastic mount and foam insert. Note that the coin may be toned, due it's age and silver content. (stock pictures, toning may vary)
